A tehsildar of Nawalgarh town was today detained by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths with Rs one lakh in cash which he had allegedly collected as bribe on Chomu-Jaipur road, near here.
Acting on a tip-off, ACB sleuths intercepted tehsildar Ram Kishore Meena's car at Moriza village in the district. It was found that he was carrying a sum of Rs one lakh in the car, an official spokesperson said here.
The accused was on his way from Nawalgarh to Jaipur to deposit the money which he had collected from clients for making registry and other official documents, she said.
A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act was lodged against him, and, if required, he would be arrested after a preliminary probe, she said.
