The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today unearthed assets worth Rs 1.68 crore allegedly belonging to a Food Inspector in Adilabad district of Telangana after conducting searches at the residences of the officer and his relatives.
On credible information, a case of disproportionate assets was registered against Edem Bapuji and simultaneous searches were conducted at his residence and at the places of his relatives at various locations in the state, an ACB release said.
During the searches, it is revealed so far that Bapuji acquired properties including a villa, a flat, two plots, gold ornaments, household articles, a car, and a two-wheeler among other properties in his name as well as in the names of his family members, it said.

"The documentary value of these properties is approximately Rs 1.68 crore while the market value is approximately Rs 5 crore," as per the agency.
Further investigation is on.
