Power utilities in Telangana have drawn up plans to supply 11,500 MW of power to lift irrigation schemes in the state.
The plans have been prepared to realise the state government's objective of bringing one crore acres of land under irrigation, a release from the Chief Minister's office said today.
New sub-stations and supply lines will be established at a cost of Rs 6,000 crore, it said.

Transco has submitted an action plan to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the release added.
