Two persons being treated for swine flu have died at a premier state-run hospital here, a senior health official said today.

Besides the two deaths, a total of 68 people, including 37 suspected cases, are undergoing treatment at the state-run Gandhi hospital, said Dr Narasimhulu, swine flu coordinator at the hospital.

He also said a 20-day-old infant and its mother have been discharged from the hospital after a successful treatment for swine flu.

Observing that the number of positive cases for the virus has shown a fall with a gradual rise in temperatures, he, however, said there is a need to continue the alertness for another two weeks or so.

A statement issued by Telangana government yesterday put the number of deaths due to swine flu and other related complications at 27.
