As many as 46 patients have succumbed to swine flu and 1,068 cases of the deadly H1N1 virus have been reported in Telangana this year.
"From January 1 till yesterday, 3,245 samples have been tested, out of which 1,068 have been found to be positive. The number of deaths due to swine flu and related complications are 46," a bulletin on swine flu issued by the state government said here today.
It said 80 samples were tested yesterday and 25 were found positive for the virus.

The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (up to February 15) showed a decline in intensity, the bulletin said.
However, citizens are advised to take precautions and report to a hospital on appearance of the first symptoms of the virus like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pain, it said.
Sufficient stock of medicines is available at different hospitals and there are also enough testing kits, it said.
Homoeopathy doctors have advised that homoeopathic medicines can also be taken as a preventive measure.
