Telangana Chief Minister all set to visit Karimnagar city

Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is scheduled to arrive at Karimnagar on Tuesday to launch the Karimnagar City Renovation programme, it was officially announced here today.

During his election campaign, KCR had assured that Karimnagar would be turned into a "model city". To fulfill the promise, a renovation project called 'Karimnagar City Renovation (KCR)' programme has been announced by the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation headed by its Mayor S Ravinder Singh.

The Telangana Chief Minister is scheduled to reach Lower Manair Dam, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, by road. After inspecting the dam, he will attend other developmental programmes, Karimnagar Superintendent of Police P V Shiva Kumar said.
 

"As part of security arrangements, about 800 policemen of various categories have been deployed, besides the regular police force," he said.

KCR is also scheduled to attend a review meeting of state officials at the Collectorate auditorium.

Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Minister for Information and Technology K Taraka Ramarao and others are also scheduled to attend the programme, officials said.

Since this would be KCR visit to Karimnagar after he assumed charge as Telangana chief minister, his Telangana Rashtra Samiti party cadre is preparing to make the programme a success.
