Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the ICC U-19 World Cup in New Zealand.
The Prithvi Shaw-led team defeated Australia by eight wickets and won the World Cup for a record fourth time.
Rao hailed the achievement of the team, which was coached by batting legend Rahul Dravid.
India restricted Australia for 216 and achieved the winning target in 38.5 overs by losing just two wickets.
Delhi boy Manjot Kalra hit a splendid ton, while Harvik Desai, from Saurashtra in Gujarat, remained unbeaten on 47 in the summit clash at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.
