Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today met Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum seeking amendments to an existing presidential order and issuing fresh one to facilitate implementation of the state's new zonal system.

The Telangana state cabinet yesterday approved the proposal to create seven zones and two multi-zones as part of the zonal system in Telangana with regard to government employment.

Rao also took up various pending issues pertaining to the AP Reorganisation Act with the Union Home minister, official sources said.

The state cabinet decided on formation of two multi-zones and seven zones--Kaleshwaram, Basara, Rajanna, Bhadradri, Yadadri, Charminar and Jogulamba.

While the first four will be under multi zone-1, the next three will be under multi zone-2.
