Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed officials today to prepare an effective industrial policy to attract industrial investments from home and overseas, as well as involve different sections of society.

The Chief Minister has also decided to hold a broadbased meeting shortly to finalise the industrial policy in Telangana and also decided to invite industrialists, as well as CII, FICCI representatives for a discussion to formulate the new industrial policy, an official release said.

"The Chief Minister suggested that deficiencies in provision of infrastructure facilities should be identified and addressed.

"He also suggested a single-window clearance system for industrial clearances on various aspects should be made easy and rules regulations should be framed accordingly," a release from the Chief Minister's Office said.

The Chief Minister suggested that the policy should facilitate proper utilisation of resources in Telangana and aim at job creation in the state, the release said.

"The Chief Minister said that earlier lands were acquired for establishing industries, but in many places, no industry was established. He instructed officials that they should take over such lands," the release said.
