Telangana CM to launch Rythu Bandhu scheme on May 10

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would launch the distribution ofcheques under the 'Rythu Bandhu' investment support scheme for farmers on May 10.

The programme would start on May 10 and continue till May 17, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, who handles the revenue department,said here today.

It can be extended for another two-three days if necessary, he said.

Cheques and Pattadar (title holder) passbooks would be distributed to tenant farmers and for Waqf and endowment lands during the second phase of the programme to avoid problems related to printing and others, Ali said.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth distribution of the cheques and pattadar passbooks, he said.

 

The provision ofRs 8,000 (cheques) to each farmer in two spells would go a long way in helping farmers, he added.
