Telangana continues to reel under intense heat

There was no relief from intense heat in Telangana, where temperatures hovered well over 40 degrees Celsius today in large parts of the state.

Mahabubnagar district recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42.1 degrees Celsius, the Met department said.

It was followed by Adilabad (42 degrees Celsius), Medak (at 41.5), Nizamabad (41.4) and Hyderabad (40.8), it said.

The department forecast light to moderate rain/ thundershowers at isolated places in Telangana till 8.30 am tomorrow (April 7).

Maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius at isolated places in the state, it said.
