Telangana dairy farmers to be paid more for milk supply

The Telangana State Dairy Development Co-Operative Federation Ltd today announced a hike of Rs 2 per litre in milk procurement.

Following the hike, farmers would be paid Rs 37.80 (including an incentive of Rs 4 given by government) for a litre of buffalo milk.

A litre of cow milk would fetch Rs 30.36 (including an incentive of Rs 4) to farmers, the Federation said in a release.

Farmers should take advantage of the hike in price and supply quality milk to Federation, it said.

The Federation also announced a hike of Re 1 per litre in selling price.
