The Telangana government on Thursday launched initiatives like E-learning courses on Women's Safety and Cyber Crime and a special software for the functioning of'SHE Teams',tasked with cracking down on eve-teasers and stalkers.
It was launched on the SHE Teams completing five years.
It was on October 24, 2014, the Telangana police realising the importance of women's safety set up'SHE Teams'.
Subsequently, it was launched across Telangana from April 2015.
Over the past five years, the'SHE Teams'took up 33,687 cases and registered 2,587 First Information Reports and 5608 petty cases,an official release said.
From October 2014 to September 2019, teasing and misbehaving constitute 3,885 cases besides 2,197 pertain to stalking and 3,734 harassment over phone, it said.
A total of 1,467 minors, 5,074 between the age group of 19-24 and 232 aged above 50 years were among those who were caught, it said, adding 14,746 respondents were counselled and monitored besides 10,834 were warned and let-off.

A total of 310 SHE teams are working round-the-clock in coordination with the local police of the cities/towns/ districts of Telangana.
The teams identify hotspots and carry out regular surveillance of the area to nab wrong doers.
The 'SHE Teams', functions under the Women Safety Wing of the Telangana police headed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Swati Lakra.
The concept has found space in the Intermediate Curriculum of Telangana State Board besides the SHE teams also organise self-defense training programmes at schools and colleges, the release added.
