Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today decided to construct a grand memorial for former Union minister and senior Congress leader G Venkataswamy who passed away in December last year.
Hailing the services of Venkataswamy, Rao said the departed soul was not only a Dalit leader, but a leader who served the people of the country.
The state government would build the memorial in such a way that future generations would also remember Venkataswamy, a release from Rao's office quoted him as saying.
Venkataswamy's son and former MP G Vivek met Rao here today and the matter was discussed on the occasion.
