Telangana government would appoint a cabinet sub-committee for making recommendations on issues related to municipalities, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said here today.
Speaking at a meeting on municipalities, Rao took some decisions and gave directions on different issues, a release from his office said.
He said the government would give powers to Mayors and municipal chairmen to procure sand required for construction and provide tractors for collection of garbage.

He favoured preparing fresh estimates on value of immovable properties, promotion of greenery and preparing proposals on 'Swachh Bharat'.
The CM also said the government would bring a legislation to see that no-confidence motions are not moved for five years, the release added.
