Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China Medical City to collaborate in the field of life sciences.

The agreement was signed at 'BioAsia 2015', a three- day conclave on biotechnology, pharma and related fields that is being held here, an official release said. Today was the second day of the conclave.

China Medical City, located in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, is a national-level high-tech development zone focusing on biomedical research & development, manufacturing and commercialisation.

Shakthi Nagappan, CEO, BioAsia, said, "We are overwhelmed with the sessions, panel discussions and response from participants. We are sure that delegates are getting an opportunity to explore new opportunities and upcoming trends.

"The participation of key industry leaders and signing of the MoU between Telangana and China Medical City today is a testimony to the role that BioAsia has played in bringing together all stakeholders for an inclusive growth and knowledge sharing," Nagappan said.

The event has been organised by the Federation of Asian Biotech Association, Government of Telangana and the Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) with the support of the Central Government.
