The issue of carving out a separate Telangana state out of Andhra Pradesh could have been solved by seeking "greater consensus" on the issue, Human Resource Development Minister M M Pallam Raju said today.
"It is commendable that the Congress party has tried to solve a long standing dispute. But I feel it should have been done with a greater consensus which is why we have problems in the Rayalseema and Andhra region. I hope a proper solution would be formed," Raju told PTI.
However, he did not elaborate how the "greater consensus" could have been achieved.
