Telangana plans to set up Rs 270 cr leather complex

The Telangana government plans to establish a Rs 270 crore international leather complex at Station Ghanpur village in Warangal district.

Telangana Industries and Commerce Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) met Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi today and gave her a copy of the proposal of the complex to be built on 117-acre land.

The proposal is prepared by IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative Limited, an official statement said.

KTR, son of state Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, requested the Centre to sanction Rs 105 crore grant under the Indian Leather Development Programme of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, it said.
