Telangana Police are taking all precautionary measures to ensure no untoward incident takes place on the Republic Day though there was no specific intelligence input about a terror strike in the State.
"Every year on January 26 we take precautions. This time also there has not been any specific inputs as such (for Telangana)...But yes we are leaving no stone unturned and are taking every precaution to maintain law and order and ensure that no untoward incident takes place," Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma said today.
He was asked whether state police had received any input from Central security agencies about possible terror strike in Telangana on the Republic Day.

Asked if further interrogation of Salman Mohiuddin, arrested by Cyberabad Police for allegedly planning to join West Asian terror group ISIS, had yielded more details, he said whatever has emerged till now has been shared with the media.
The 32-year-old US-returned engineering graduate was arrested on Friday last at the international airport here when he was on way to Dubai.
Asked about reports in a sections of media that Salman was in touch with many other youths and was influencing them to join the terror outfit, the DGP said "There is nothing new that has come to light. If something (more) comes to light we will let you know.
