Telangana remained peaceful today with no untoward incident reported during the 24-hour state- wide bandh called by Communist Party of India (Maoist), against policies of the new TRS government.
"It is like any other normal day. No incident was reported. We have not taken anybody into custody. As a precautionary measure, we stepped up security in bordering districts like Khammam," a senior police official told PTI.
The bandh was called to express resentment of some Maoist groups over policies brought in by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
