The Vigilance and Enforcement Department officials today conducted surprise inspections at 45 outlets of seeds, fertilisers and pesticides across Telangana and seized a stock estimated to be worth Rs 6.5 crore.
A special drive was conducted to inspect seed processing plants, seeds and fertilisers retail and wholesale dealers, said Vigilance and Enforcement Director Amit Garg.
A total of 20 cases were registered under relevant sections of the Essential Commodities Act apart from a case under the IPC.
