Telangana to ink MoU with Chhattisgarh to purchase electricity

Telangana state government will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state of Chattisgarh shortly, to purchase 1000 MW of electricity, it was officially announced here today.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave the nod to officials of the State Transmission Corporation (TRANSCO) and the state electricity department to ink the MoU, according to a release issued here today from the Chief Minister's Office.

Rao has also instructed officials to promote solar rooftop net metering in urban areas, the release said.
