The Telangana government would encourage various organisations to conduct 'spiritual programmes' in the temple-town of Yadagirigutta, which it proposes to develop as a major spiritual centre, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said here today.

A release from the Chief Minister's office said Sahyog Foundation had submitted a proposal to Rao to build a 'Siddha Kshetra Dham' with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore at Yadagirigutta in the neighbouring Nalgonda district.

The foundation proposes to organise religious, sports and entertainment programmes, besides providing medical and education facilities, the release said.

The foundation plans to develop the spiritual complex by installing replicas of temples of Amarnath, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Gangotri, the release added.
