Estonian exports might jump sharply as telecom might prove a major item that could boost bilateral trade with India.

Estonia Ambassador Viljar Lubi, at an interactive session with Indian Chamber of Commerce, said export from the European country might shoot up sharply due to export of 4G network and equipment to India.

"Ericsson has a facility of 4G equipment and India is trying to roll out the network in India," Lubi said.

Reliance Jio was in process of nationwide 4G roll out.

The current bilateral trade was 100 million Euros, of which export was around 70 million Euros, he said.

Lubi said if the India-EU free trade agreement fructified bilateral trade would get a further boost.

The negotiations were closed till elections in India were over, he said.

He expected that even without telecom, bilateral trade between the two countries was expected to double in four years.
