Jose Panachippuram, Associate Editor of the Malayalam daily Malayala Manorama, has been selected for the 16th K V Daniel memorial award.
Panachippuram was selected for the award, instituted in memory of the founder editor of the Thrissur-based Telegraph evening daily, for his overall contribution towards journalism and literature.
The award carrying a purse of Rs 15,000, testimonial and a plaque would be presented to him here later this month, Chief Editor of the Telegraph Williams Daniel told reporters today.

Panachippuram has been with the Malayala Manorama for over 35 years and has authored 11 novels, nine anthologies of short stories and two novelettes, he added.
He has bagged Kerala Sahiya Academy's awards for humorous writing in 2003 and for novel in 2005, Daniel said.
