Telephonic threat in the name of CMO: RJD

A person claiming himself to be an employee of chief minister's office was making telephone calls to Suguali in East Champaran district for pecuniary benefits, an opposition RJD MLA told the assembly today.

RJD MLA Durga Prasad Singh in his notice during zero hour said a person named Niranjan Singh claiming to be an employee of CMO telephoned a woman that there was some complaint against her and if she was interested he could get the matter 'settled'.

Similar telephonic calls had been received by residents of the area frequently, he said adding a complaint has been registered with Sugauli police station in this regard.
 

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who was present in the house assured the RJD MLA that he would get the matter probed.
