Telugu Titans beat Puneri Paltan 32-29

Telugu Titans produced an impressive performance to beat high-flying Puneri Paltan 32-29 in a closely-fought match of Pro Kabaddi Season 4 here today.

Skipper Rahul Chaudhari had a terrific game and scored 10 points while Sandeep Narwal scored six points to set up the victory for Telugu Titans.

It was a momentous day for Rahul Chaudhari as he became the first man to score 400 raid points in Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League. Chaudhari has been one of the standout players in Pro Kabaddi League as half of his overall points in the league are in super 10s.

Both teams have 29 points from nine games but Puneri Paltan are third in the table, one ahead of Telugu Titans on score difference.
 

Puneri Paltan began with a bang as Ajay Thakur scored with a super raid in the first minute. Rahul Chaudhari got two points from his first two raids as Telugu Titans trailed 2-3 after four minutes. Deepak Hooda got two points with a raid in the fifth minute as Puneri Paltan led 5-2 and reduced Telugu Titans to just two men.

Deepak Hooda scored his fifth raid point of the match as Puneri Paltan led 13-8 after 10 minutes. Titans' defence scored just two tackle points as they trailed 9-15 after 13 minutes. Telugu Titans made a comeback as they cut the lead to two points (17-15) at the end of first half.

Puneri Paltan forced a super tackle in the 22nd minute to lead 19-16 with RavinderPahal attaining a "high five". Rahul Chaudhari was in fine form and scored a raid point in 25th minute as Telugu Titans trailed 19-20 and Pune reduced to just one man.

Telugu Titans forced an all out in 26th minute to take lead for the first time in match at 22-20. Sandeep Narwal was shown a yellow card in 29th minute and was forced off the court for two minutes. A few raids were exchanged between both the teams as Telugu Titans led 24-22 in the 32nd minute.

Rahul Chaudhari scored two points in 35th minute as attained a super 10 which gave Telugu Titans 28-24 lead.

Puneri Paltan scored two quick points as the game reached an exciting climax at score 28-26 in favour of Telugu Titans. Deepak Hooda scored his eighth point as Puneri Paltan trailed 27-28 with just three minutes left on the clock.

It was Rahul Chaudhari's night as he created history with his 20th super 10 of Pro Kabaddi League to lead his team to a 32-29 victory.

In the other match, Dabang Delhi trounced a hapless Bengaluru Bulls 40-20. Kashiling Adake had a superb game and scored 11 points to lead his team to a resounding win.

Bengaluru Bulls' wretched home form continued as they have so far lost all four games in front of their home crowd.

With only their third win of the season, Dabang Delhi have 20 points from eight games and remain seventh in the table. Bengaluru Bulls now have 21 points from 11 games and are sixth in the table.

Both teams started off with bonus and raid points as it took four minutes for the first tackle point with Dabang Delhi KC holding a slender 3-2 lead. Bengaluru Bulls scored their first tackle point in seventh minute to level the game 3-3. Bengaluru Bulls led 6-4 after 10 minutes as Dabang Delhi KC star Meraj Sheykh struggled to open his account.

Dabang Delhi earned a bonus point and scored a tackle point to tie the game at 6-6 in the 13th minute. Rohit Kumar of Bengaluru Bulls had a quiet first 15 minutes and couldn't score a single point.

The Bulls' defence also struggled in the first half as they scored just two tackle points. Kashiling Adake scored a super raid and reduced Bengaluru Bulls to one man and give his team 11-6 lead after 16 minutes.

Dabang Delhi KC rose into ascendancy as they inflicted an all out to lead 14-7 after 17 minutes. Rohit Kumar scored his first point after 18 minutes to cut the deficit to six points. Selvamani and Kashiling Adake scored four points each in the first half as they led 15-8 at the end of the first half.

Dabang Delhi started the second half in style as they raced into a 10-point lead after 23 minutes. Meraj Sheykh put a disappointing first half behind him to give his team five points as he scored an all out and inflicted an all out as Dabang Delhi led 23-8.

Bengaluru Bulls continued to flounder as they trailed 12-27 after 30 minutes despite Yogesh Hooda scoring seven points. Bengaluru Bulls' defence scored just two points after 32 minutes as Dabang Delhi were cruising and led 29-12. Kashiling Adake compounded more misery on Bengaluru Bulls with a raid point and then inflicted another all out as Dabang Delhi led 36-14.

Bengaluru Bulls looked absolutely hapless in the last five minutes as Dabang Delhi continued to score raid points. Dabang Delhi made Bengaluru Bulls suffer all night and handed them a 40-20 thrashing.
