Maximum decline in mercury was witnessed in Ludhiana, where mercury dropped by nine notches below normal and settled at maximum 33.2 deg C.
Amritsar recorded a maximum of 37.9 deg C, down by three degrees.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 36 deg C, down by four degrees. It was 35.5 deg C, down by 7 points below normal, in Hisar.
While Karnal recorded a high of 36 deg C, it was 40 deg C in Rohtak.
