Temperature dips due to cold wave from Northern India

Guna was the coldest city in the state yesterday with a minimum temperature of 4.7 degrees celsius, followed by Rewa, where the minimum temperature was five degrees celsius, meteorological department officials said here today.

Madhya Pradesh state capital Bhopal witnessed second coldest night of December in the last six years yesterday with a minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees celsius, which was four degrees below normal.

Before this, the lowest temperature in the city was 5.9 degrees celsius on December 21, 2010.

The minimum temperature in Rajgarh and Raisen was seven degrees celsius each, Khajuraho (7.6 degrees celsius), Satna (8.1 degrees celsius), Gwalior (8.4 degrees celsius), Sagar (9.1 degrees celsius) while that of Indore it was 10 degrees celsius.

 

Meteorological department officials said that the weather condition would remain the same in the state during the next few days as the cold wave from Northern India intensifies.
