Temperature dips in Patna, elsewhere

Rains brought down the mercury in Patna and other parts of Bihar today, but humidity remained high.

Patna recorded 17.1 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours, a MeT office bulletin said.

Bhagalpur registered 14.1 mm rain while it was 41.9 mm in Purnea, it said.

Maximum temperature in Patna was recorded at 31.9 degrees Celsius. It was 32.1 degrees Celsius in temple town of Gaya while Bhagalpur witnessed 30.5 degrees Celsius and Purnea 33.6 degrees Celsius, the bulletin said.

Patna recorded 92 per cent humidity.

Humidity level in Gaya was recorded at 86 per cent, Bhagalpur 92 per cent and Purnea 94 per cent.
 

The state Weather office forecast generally cloudy sky with moderate rain in the next 24 hours.
