Temperature increases in parts of Bihar

Parts of Bihar recorded increase in temperature due to absence of rains, even as the MeT department predicted that monsoon will again be active in the state from Wednesday.

Patna and Purnea were the hottest among the major towns in the state with both recording maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius. Gaya and Bhagalpur recorded a high of 35 and 34.3 degrees Celsius respectively.

Patna recorded maximum humidity of 79 per cent in the morning while it was 59 per cent in the evening. In Gaya the humidity was 80 per cent and 61 per cent in the morning and evening respectively, the MeT department said.
 

Gaya and Bhagalpur received 3.8 mm and 5.6 mm rainfall respectively in the last 24 hours.

The MeT department predicted monsoon will again be active in the state from Wednesday. In the next 24 hours Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea will witness partly cloudy sky.
