Temperature rises in Raj; Chittorgarh hottest at 41.3 deg C

Day temperature soared by a few notches in parts of Rajasthan where Chittorgarh was the hottest place recording a maximum of 41.3 degrees followed by Kota at 40.7 degrees.

The state capital recorded maximum of 40.5 degrees Celsius whereas Churu and Ajmer recorded day temperature of 39 degrees Celsius, according to Met department here.

Meanwhile, light rain occurred at isolated places including Barmer and Ganganagar in the state since yesterday.

Weather conditions would remain the same during next 24 hours, a forecast said.
