The minimum temperature continued to rise across Punjab and Haryana, settling up to six notches above normal today, even as many places received light rainfall.
Chandigarh, which received light rain for the second day today, recorded a minimum temperature of 12.2 deg C, five notches above normal, the MeT Department here said.
Amritsar, which too received light showers, registered a low of 11 deg C, six above normal, while Ludhiana's low at 10.5 deg C settled five degrees above normal.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a low of 11.8 deg C, up four notches, while Hisar's minimum of 10.7 deg C settled three degrees above normal.
Karnal recorded a low of 10.2 deg C, up two notches, while Bhiwani registered a low of 11 deg C, four above normal. Narnaul's minimum of 9.6 deg C rose by four degrees than normal, the MeT said.
There were reports of light rains from many places in Haryana as well Ambala and Panchkula.
