Minimum temperatures dropped by four to six degrees across Himachal as higher hills received fresh snowfall while mid and lower hills were swept by thunderstorm, accompanied by intermittent rains.
Gondla received 16 cm of snow while Keylong and Kalpa had 11 cm of fresh snow, followed by Kothi (7 cm).
Guler was wettest in the region with 35 mm rains while Gohar, Manali and Sarahan had 26 mm, 20 mm and 19 mm rains, followed by Chamba (18 mm), Bharari (16 mm) , Dehra Gopipur and Bhoranj (15 mm), Nadaun, Reckong Peo, Sarkaghat and Saloni (14 mm), Bharmaur, Dalhousie and Kumarsein (13 mm), Gaggal and Hamirpur (11 mm) and Bhuntar andRampur, 10 mm each.
The intense cold wave conditions revived in tribal areas and higher hills and minimum temperature dipped to minus 8.5 degree at Keylong, minus 3.6 at Kalpa and minus 2.0 degree at Manali, followed by Bhuntar (3.5), Solan and Sundernagar (6.0), Shimla (6.5), Palampur (8.5), Dharamsala (9.8) and Nahan (11.8).
The day temperatures, which crashed by eight to 10 degrees yesterday, recovered by few notches and Una was the hottest with a high of 31.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Nahan (27), Sundernagar (25.9), Bhuntar (23.6), Solan (22.5), Dharamsala (21.8), Palampur (20.6), Shimla (17.9), Kalpa (8.4) and Keylong (1.3).
The local MeT office has forecast dry weather in the state over the next four days and rains or snow in the region on March 20 and 21.
