Temperatures drop marginally across Punjab & Haryana

The maximum temperatures today dropped marginally across Punjab and Haryana including Chandigarh, a day after the region was hit by dust-storm and light rains.

Chandigarh recorded a high of 37.8 degree Celsius, one notch below normal, the MeT report said.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 37.3 deg C, three notches below normal while Karnal registered a high of 37 deg C, down three degrees.

Hisar's maximum settled at 39.7 deg C, which was within the normal limits.

In Punjab, Amritsar's high settled at 37.8 degree Celsius, down two degrees while Ludhiana registered a high of 38.5 degree Celsius, down one notch.
 

Patiala recorded a high of 37.4 degree Celsius, three below normal.

According to the MeT forecast valid until tomorrow morning, dust storm/thunderstorm with light rain is likely at isolated places in the two states.
