Temperatures hover below normal in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today continued to hover below normal in most parts of Punjab and Haryana while Chandigarh's maximum settled at 30.6 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.

According to MeT office, in Haryana, Ambala and Bhiwani recorded below normal maximums of 29.9 degrees C and 30.2 degrees C.

Hisar's maximum settled at 32.3 degrees C, two degrees below normal while Narnual recorded a maximum temperature of 28 degrees C, down by five notches than normal.

Among other places in Punjab, Amritsar had a high of 30.2 degrees C, two degrees below normal while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded respective below normal maximums of 30.4 degrees C and 30 degrees C.
 

The MeT Department, in a forecast, predicted that dry weather conditions may continue in Punjab and Haryana during the next two days.
