In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 33.4 degrees Celsius while Narnaul recorded a high of 36.5 degrees Celsius.
Bhiwani registered a maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius while Hisar's maximum temperature settled at 36.1 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 31.2 degrees Celsius and 33.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Amritsar recorded a high of 33.4 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal limits.
According to a forecast by the MeT department here, rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab over the next two days.
