In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 34.4 degrees Celsius, while Bhiwani registered a maximum of 39.8 degrees Celsius.
Karnal's maximum settled at 34.4 degrees Celsius, but Hisar braved the hot weather recording a high of 40.8 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius and 34.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Amritsar's maximum settled at 33 degrees Celsius.
Rains or thundershowers are likely at scattered places in Haryana and Punjab over the next two days, according to the MeT forecast.
