Temperatures hover close to normal limits in Pb, Hry

The maximum temperatures today

hovered close to normal limits at most places in Punjab and Haryana.

Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a maximum of 35.4 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department said.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 35.6 degrees Celsius, while Bhiwani registered a maximum of 37.2 degrees Celsius.

Hisar and Karnal's maximum settled at 37.4 degrees Celsius and 34.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.

In Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded the maximum temperatures of 34.6 degrees Celsius and 35.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Amritsar's maximum settled at 35.8 degrees Celsius.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated to scattered places in Haryana and Punjab over the next two days, according to the MeT forecast.
