Temperatures settle at normal in Punjab, Haryana after rains

Mercury in Punjab and Haryana stayed close to normal level today after rains lashed most parts of the state in the last few days.

Chandigarh recorded maximum temperature at 34.2 degree Celsius, a Meteorological department official said.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a maximum temperature of 32.6 degree after rains lashed the town today while Hisar's high settled at 34.3 degree Celsius.

Karnal recorded a high of 33.4 degree Celsius while Bhiwani's maximum settled at 33.6 degree Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar and Ludhiana recorded respective maximums of 32.6 degree Celsius and 33.7 degree Celsius.

Patiala registered a high of 33.6 degree Celsius.
