Temperatures stay below normal in Haryana, Punjab

Maximum temperatures today stayed within comfortable levels in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.

Union Territory of Chandigarh recorded maximum at 30 deg C, down by three notches below normal, weather department said here.

In Haryana, Ambala and Bhiwani recorded mercury at 28 deg C and 31 deg C, down by up to four degrees below normal.

Hisar's maximum was at 31 deg C, four degrees below normal and Narnual recorded maximum at 28 deg C, down by seven notches below normal.

Among other places in Punjab, Amritsar had a high of 29.6 deg C, three degrees below normal while Ludhiana and Patiala had high of 29.2 deg C and 30 deg C respectively.
 

The MeT department predicted dry weather conditions in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours.
