On sustained interrogation, Shukla revealed that he had come to know that the victim was an affluent man who used to visit the temple where his father was a priest. Lured by the idea of extorting a hefty sum of money from the victim, Shukla began making threatening calls to him.
Shukla has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC, said Kushwah.
Shukla's family shifted to Delhi in 2006 and he arrived here two years later, Kushwah added.
