Temple worker found dead

A sanitation worker of a Jain Temple was today found dead in a semi-nude state at the Bhogal area in South Delhi with injury marks on his chest leading to suspicions of murder.

The victim was identified as Hanuman Pandey (42) by police, who it said had joined the temple as a worker less than two weeks ago.

With no arrests being made till now, police is scanning CCTV cameras of the temple and the surrounding areas for clues. "The priests and other employees are also being questioned," a police officer said.

Police said, Pandey was found dead in a flat at Bhogal area that belonged to the temple and was situated very close to it.
 

Pandey is survived by his wife and two children who live in Sarai Kale Khan. "He left for the temple on Saturday night after having dinner with his family," police said.

According to the officer, the incident came to light at around 5.30 AM today when a security guard found his blood splattered body inside the room and informed the police.
