Temples gear up to celebrate Vaikunta Ekadasi tomorrow

Necessary arrangements have been made by all big and small temples including the well-known Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple to celebrate Vaikunta Ekadasi tomorrow.

"Over 70,000 devotees are expected to visit the temple tomorrow. The first 'pooja' will be offered by the temple's hereditary trustee P Ananda Gajapathi Raju and the temple will open for devotees through the northern gate(Utthara Darshan) from 5 AM to 9 AM," said K Rama Chandra Mohan, Executive Director of the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple.

"After 9 AM, devotees can visit the temple from all the gates. Later devotees will be given free 'prasadam' and drinking water," he said.
 

Several devotees are also expected to throng other temples in the district like Sri Thrimurthika Venkateswara temple at Seethammadhara, Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple at Isuka Konda and Sri Venkateswara temple at Port Trust.

Officials at the Sri Thrimurthika Venkateswara temple, Seethammadhara said that the first pooja will be offered at 03.30 AM and later the temple will be open for devotees from 04 AM to 8.30 PM.

"Over 20,000 devotees are expected to visit the temple ", they said.
