Rains slashed the national capital today bringing the mercury down even as it led to increase in humidity.
The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is official for the city, received 14 mm rainfall between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM while areas Lodhi Road, Palam and Ridge recorded 13.2 mm, 12.4 mm and 11 mm rainfall respectively.
Aaynagar observatory received 3.2 mm of rainfall in the same period, said a MeT department official.

The humidity level was between 97 per cent to 65 per cent.
The MeT office has forecast generally cloudy skies along with the possibility of light rain and thundershowers for tomorrow.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 34 and 26 degrees, the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature recorded was 34.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature had settled at 26.8 degrees Celsius.
