A 22-year-old man was found dead in Bheemganj here, triggering tension in the area where prohibitory orders were imposed and internet services disrupted by the administration to prevent any untoward incident.
The body of Ismail (22) was found in the area. It bore injury marks possibly caused by some sharp-edged weapon. The family of the deceased is suspecting foul play, Superintendent of Police Hemant Sharma said.
Shopkeepers in the area downed the shutters of their shops in protest. In view of the situation, prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC were imposed in the area and internet services disrupted, Sharma said.
Additional police force has been deployed to prevent any untoward incident. The situation is under control, he said.
