The Internet has been used by terrorists to spread propaganda and for recruitment, Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir said today.
Security and intelligence agencies regularly monitor popular social media sites, he told the Rajya Sabha.
"They take necessary action in case they find any classified, provocative, anti-national or terror-related materials hosted or circulated on such sites," Ahir said.
