Media should refrain from pronouncing people guilty even before a trial has commenced in a court of law, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari said today.
He was responding to a question related to the railway bribery case involving former Union minister P K Bansal's nephew.
'I fail to understand, are we going to follow concurrent tracks of justice in this country. That a track which is judicially driven and another track which is media driven.

He said the media should also seriously reflect as to whether this kind of pre-judicial justice, turning jurisprudence on its head, pronouncing people guilty even before the trial has commenced, is a proper trajectory to follow.
