TexMin officials contribute day's salary for J&K relief work

Textiles Ministry officials have contributed a day's salary to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund, for the relief and rehabilitation of families affected by the recent floods in Jammu & Kashmir.

"The officers and staff of the Ministry of Textiles have voluntarily decided to contribute one day salary for the purpose. A sum of Rs 11,12,558 donated by the textile entrepreneurs as well as officers and staff of the Ministry of Textiles (in the first lot) was handed over to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund," an official release said.

Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made an appeal to all Indians to donate generously to the PM's National Relief Fund for the flood-affected people in Jammu and Kashmir.
