A textile shop here was gutted in a fire which broke out in a shopping complex this morning, police said today.
There were no casualties but materials worth over several lakhs have been destroyed in the blaze.
The incident took place at one of the shops at the government-owned shopping complexes in the city at around 8:30 am, police said.
Firemen battled to douse the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby shops.
The reason for the fire was not immediately known.
